Harry Potter and The Escape From Gringotts
Universal's exciting new installment to the Harry Potter expansion comes in the form of one of the most innovative and ground-breaking theme park rides of all time. Harry Potter and The Escape From Gringotts, will be unveiled to the world's media from June 17th-20th. The official public opening is still under wraps but a very reliable source has confirmed that the Harry Potter and The Escape From Gringotts ride is almost complete - and there's even a dragon on top! Universal have really exceeded themselves on a grand scale with the new Diagon Alley section of the Harry Potter experience. The Harry Potter phenomenon is far from over and both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are sure to enjoy colossal success off the back of their latest project.
Gringotts will form the centerpiece ride for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter across the two parks. We really cannot express enough just how immense this new development is! The epic new ride experience will use 360-degree themed sets, some seriously high-def animation and live special effects. This is going to be an experience that will re-brand theme park magic and then some! Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative has said: "Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts will change the way you think about theme park attractions. We've created an entirely new type of ride that propels guests into the story like never before, and guests will remember it long after their visit to Diagon Alley"
During the journey to Harry Potter's very own vault - number 722 - riders will be faced with a 60-foot fire-breathing dragon as they race through the labyrinth of Gringotts' underground vaults. Riders will come face to face with the Gringotts goblins hard at work before encountering the notorious Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange, and even worse - He Who Must Not Be Named. This is not an adventure for the fainthearted!
We are so excited to take our chances at survival in the underbelly of J.K. Rowling's famous bank this summer. Just last week, Universal revealed a first look at the goblins featured in the attraction, as well as the shops and restaurants inside the new area and believe us, they certainly do not disappoint! To give you some idea of the scale and scope of the Harry Potter area - Diagon Alley is under construction at the former site of the Jaws ride and Amity area of Universal Studios. This is going to be huger than huge - be sure to book your tickets fast as they will undoubtedly sell out quicker than you can catch a Quidditch Snitch! This summer is set to be more than just simply magical for Orlando vacation home renters - it's going to be out of this world!
