Golfing Near Formosa Gardens Estates

Literally a few minutes drive away is the famous Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club. Designed by PGA Tour player Gary Koch you can experience 18 holes made up of two distinct nines. The first reminiscent of a Carolina classic course and the second that of a typical British Links. The course is immaculately kept with excellent facilities. You couldn't have come to a more convenient spot, with several championship and executive courses located within 5 miles of Formosa Gardens Estates.

Getting Around Without A Rental Car

There is no free shuttle service available to the parks from Formosa Gardens, but there are very friendly and helpful taxi services available locally.

Florida Transport offer an amazing private transfer service - they can pick you up from the airport and take you to the villa and even stop off for you buy some essential groceries before taking you to your villa.  They also offer a taxi service to take you to theme parks, beaches, shopping, nights out etc....

Alternatively, we also recommend UBER who are considerably cheaper and more reliable than your typical extortionate taxi companies. UBER provides great & friendly service at an affordable cost for families who do not plan on driving during their vacation.

Walking Times To The Shops & Restaurants on the US192

To give you an indication of scale, to walk to the US192 in order to reach the many restaurants & shops, would take about 20 - 25 minutes from Formosa Gardens - alternatively 3 - 4 minutes by car.  You will find a great selection of restaurants and bars on the US192.

How to avoid the US192 traffic jams to all attractions

The directions below will help you avoid the US192 which can get backed-up for miles during park entry & closing times.

Disney Parks

1. Turn right on leaving Formosa Gardens onto Formosa Gardens Blvd
2. At US-192 intersection goright and then first left onto Sherberth Rd and follow road passing Disney Casting on the right
3. Turn LEFT at Osceola Pkwy crossroads if you are going to Animal Kingdom

OR

4. Turn RIGHT at Osceola Pkwy and follow signs for the rest of the Theme Parks & Water Parks

SeaWorld / Discovery Cove / Aquatica

1. As for Disney, but turn RIGHT on Osceola Pkwy
2. Stay on Osceola Pkwy following signs for I-4 East
3. Merge on I-4 East via the ramp to the left to Orlando
4. Take exit 71 toward SeaWorld
5. Merge onto Central Florida Pkwy
6. Follow the signs to Sea World / Discovery Cove / Aquatica

Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure

1. As for Disney, but turn RIGHT on Osceola Pkwy
2. Stay on Osceola Pkwy following signs for I-4 East
3. Merge on I-4 East via the ramp to the left to Orlando
4. Take exit 74A for Sand Lake Rd/SR-482 toward International Dr
5. Turn left at W Sand Lake Rd/SR-482 W - Continue to follow W Sand Lake Rd
6. Turn right at CR-439 N/Turkey Lake Rd and follow signs to the parks
7. At busy times, watch automated signs directing you to parks by alternative route

NASA / Kennedy Space Center

1. As for Disney, but turn RIGHT on Osceola Pkwy
2. Stay on Osceola Pkwy following signs for Central Florida Greenway 417 Toll
3. Pass under bridge and take exit right to merge on 417 via the ramp to Orlando International Airport
4. Stay on 417 Toll until you reach the exit 26 for 528 Toll Beeline Expressway heading 528 East
5. At exit 37, take the SR-407 exit on the left toward NASA Kennedy Space Center/I-95 N/Titusville
6. Merge onto Challenger Memorial Pkwy/407 N. for approximately 6 miles
7. Turn right onto Columbia Blvd/FL-405 E
8. Follow the Signs to Kennedy Space Center
